Questions people ask before they start.
The most common questions about HeySetter: what it is, what it costs, what it can and cannot do, what WhatsApp requires, and how your data is handled. HeySetter is an AI sales agent for WhatsApp that books appointments, collects payments and follows up, for $350 per month with a 7-day free trial and no card.
Product
An AI sales agent that lives on your WhatsApp number. It answers customers in under 30 seconds, qualifies them, books appointments into your Google Calendar, sends payment links, follows up with people who go quiet, and keeps your pipeline updated. It works 24/7 in English and Spanish.
A chatbot follows a decision tree somebody drew in advance, so it breaks the moment a customer phrases something unexpectedly. HeySetter interprets the intent and executes real actions: checking availability, booking, charging, escalating. There is no flow to draw and no flow to maintain.
No, and it is not designed to. It takes the repetitive layer: answering the same questions, offering times, sending payment links, chasing quiet leads. Your team keeps the complex conversations, the negotiation and the closing, and can take over any chat in one click.
Businesses that live on inbound WhatsApp: clinics and medical practices, academies and coaching, real estate, agencies, restaurants, ecommerce, and services that run on appointments. The common thread is a steady flow of people asking about price and availability.
Yes. You define each appointment type with its own duration, buffer and calendar, and the agent offers the right availability for the service the customer is asking about. Reminders and payment rules can differ by type as well.
Both, and it switches automatically per message. It detects the language of what came in and answers in that language, even if the same person switches mid-conversation. You set the tone once and it carries into both languages.
Yes. It shows a native WhatsApp catalog with photos and prices for up to 30 products, recommends items based on what the customer describes, checks inventory and processes the order. Booking and selling can live in the same agent.
It asks you on WhatsApp rather than improvising, and waits for your reply. You answer in plain language, the answer is stored, and it never asks again. That is Coach Mode. You can also reply "skip", and the lead is escalated to you instead.
Setup
The work that depends on you is roughly an hour, spread over 6 guided steps: business, tone, WhatsApp, calendar, knowledge base, then test and launch. Meta's verification of your WhatsApp number runs on its own timeline and is the only part nobody can rush.
No. It is a guided wizard with forms and two connection screens, one for WhatsApp and one for Google Calendar. No code, no server, no integrations to configure. If you can set up a business profile on social media, you can do this.
A Meta Business account, a phone number that is not currently active in the regular WhatsApp app, and whatever you already use to explain your business, such as a price list or your website URL. No credit card is needed for the trial.
That is step 6. You chat with your own agent from your phone exactly as a customer would, try to book something, and ask the awkward questions. Every message and action shows in the dashboard, so you can fix the tone before going live.
Three ways: the instructions you write in setup, the knowledge base you upload as PDFs, DOCX, text or a website URL that gets crawled, and Coach Mode, which adds what you teach it over WhatsApp as real questions come in.
Anything, at any time, from the dashboard, and it applies to the next message. Tone, instructions, appointment types, working hours, quiet hours, payment settings, pipeline stages and WhatsApp templates are all editable while the agent is running.
Billing
$350 per month, with every feature included and 3,000 unique conversations. Conversations beyond that are $0.08 each. The trial is 7 days with no card, billing is monthly, and there is no contract and no setup fee.
One contact who exchanges at least one message with your agent during the billing month. The same person writing ten times in the same month is still one conversation. The counter resets every calendar month and the dashboard shows it live.
Seven days with full access to every feature, and no card required to start. Nothing renews automatically and nothing is charged when it ends. You add a payment method only if you decide to continue afterward.
It is quoted for each company on a call, based on volume, the integrations you need and the custom work involved. There is no public number and no starting price, because the scope is different in every case. Book a call and you get a real quote.
Yes, from the dashboard, with no permanence clause and no cancellation fee. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Your WhatsApp number and your data remain yours regardless of when you leave.
No, and no platform includes them. Since July 2025 Meta charges per delivered template message, billed directly to your Meta Business account, with rates that depend on your customer's country and the template category. Replies inside an open service window are free.
WhatsApp and Meta
Yes. HeySetter runs on the official WhatsApp Business API from Meta, connected to a number you own, under your business name. Your brand and your conversation history stay yours, and you can disconnect the number if you ever leave.
Only after it is released from the app. A phone number can be active in the consumer WhatsApp app or on the Business API, not both at once. Many businesses migrate their existing number, others start fresh and forward traffic.
No. HeySetter uses the official Meta Business API, which is the only compliant way to run software on WhatsApp. Unofficial libraries risk your number being banned, and that risk lands on the business, not on the vendor.
WhatsApp opens a 24-hour service window after a customer messages you, and inside it you can reply freely. Once it closes, Meta only allows pre-approved templates. That is why the 48-hour follow-up goes out as a template and the earlier ones do not.
The dashboard shows the rejection and the reason, and templates can be edited and resubmitted. Most rejections come from the wrong category or promotional wording in a utility template. Setup includes submitting the standard set for you.
Security and control
You and whoever you give dashboard access to. Conversations are stored in an encrypted PostgreSQL database, isolated per business, and your data and your customers' data are never shared with other businesses on the platform or sold to third parties.
One click from the dashboard takes over any chat. The agent stops replying immediately, you speak to the customer yourself with the full history in front of you, and you hand control back whenever you want. It also escalates on its own when needed.
Availability, dates and time zones are computed on our servers, never by the language model, and the actions the agent can take are validated in code before they run. Every message, action and payment is logged with its outcome.
It stays yours. Your WhatsApp number stays connected to your own Meta Business account, and you can disconnect it independently of your subscription. Reach out before cancelling if you want an export of your conversations and contacts.
